Surely the answer to that is no? The original film is one of the best ever made (even if three Mini's did go over a cliff) and should never have been 'updated'

I think the mistake that was made was trying to make money from a film whose sole USP was that a modern take on a classic car was involved. There were too many Americans, not enough michael Caine and obviously 3 too many Binis. But it made 170 million at the box office so clearly it wasn't that much of a flop, i think a lot of us are unfairly biased, but i guess with most films that get remade by Hollywood are poor, just look at 'The Ladykillers' 2004 remake, absolutely terrible take on a British classic film.

There was talk of 'The Brazilian Job' being made but it was scrapped a few years ago

'players' its new comes out this year and it uses classic minis :) but not red white and blue. ...............red yellow and blue
