I've been watching this for a while.

What does anyone think ?

Although I'm new to mini's, i'm taking advice from the father in law who has owned mini's for 15-20 years. i know that owning a mini isn't going to be easy (I used to own a 1960 Morris Minor so have a little experience of older cars) but a mini's not just a car is it.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the replies. I had thought about getting another cooper and exentually having it sprayed in surf blue. There's a mini specialist near me (i'm in the Leeds area) who i've spoken to about having this done. Is it difficult to get the colour of the car changed on the V5 ?

I had seen that one down in swanley at GC motors but it's so expensive, It's up for £6,995 at the moment. After having looked at coopers for sale for the last few months I can see that the place is overpriced. The other thing that worries me is that they have obvioulsy had the car sitting outside for at least a year, The giveaway is that there is snow on the ground in some of the photo's !!

I've seen alot of people on here making comments about the mpi's pretty much rusting before your eyes. Is it better to look for an spi, wouldn't I have to go back to about 94 to find one of those, do all MPI's have this rust issue ?

Thanks again

L

Hi, Im in Leeds too. Can I ask who is the mini specialist that you have talked to - Just to see if I already know of them.

Are you on LCMOC forum ?

I would definatley sugest forgetting about the colour for now and just searching for a solid good runner. You could always have it repainted and atleast you will know that you get thecar that you want. Changing the colour on your V5 is easy, look on your V5. There should be a small form that you fill out if any alterations have been made to the vehicle, just send this back to the DVLA.

Hope this helps.

Hi, although not technically Leeds, I was referring to P&L mini's.

I think you're right about not getting too tied up with the colour. You do see a lot of the same cars coming up for sale multiple times when you're lookikng for a while. Thanks for the link to LCMOC, to be honest didn't know it existed. I'll have a gander at it in a bit

Yeah juju's Ploppy was nice. I wanted to buy it when Matilda was back on the road, but I think she sold it back to the place working on Matilda?
:( would of loved Ploppy

Edit: just checked back. Sold through W&P, but when she sold I was away.

Hi bootchieboo

That's my dream car. I have bought a mini since so am not in the market for one at the moment. Good luck with the sale, they do seem to be pretty rare.

this is a nice one i've seen recently. Way out of my price range though

It certainly is very expensive, although the seller did say that the plate is worth £3k and he was happy to take the plate off. Still makes the car £10k though. I know it's nice, but I don't think it's £10k worth of nice

Also, I think my current mini wouldn't be impressed if I brought this beauty home and parked up next to her

Still doesn't mean I wouldn't love to have it though
