my fan belt squeeks but usually only when its raining. shall i tighten it or just get a new one??

take a look at it first, if there are any "age cracks" or missing teeth then replace it! Another thing to check is how far you can push it down with your finger! if you can easily push it more than about 5mm then it needs tightening up!
