but how can you use the tool if the thread has rusted out? or do you just never change the cones again.
The only other option i can think of is thrying to get the whole arm out, which with the pressure of the cone will be difficult at best.

Its very easy to do......if you have the frame out......and the top arm......
Thankfully I did and it was a breeze to fit the cones and hi-los on the front

Tang3rine.. The thread on the real tools, double as a tap, so generally you can get the tool in there

yeah mine does that but the thread it bites into on the cone was so rusted that as soon as it got under pressure it just tore out, so unless i go a bigger thread and try and retap it with the next size up my choices are few
