Don’t know if anyone else has had this but ere goes

When I removed one of the heater hoses from the bottom hose
As I undid the jubilee clips and pulled the two hoses apart
The peace of metal tubing inside was so badly corroded it just fell apart :D

Only now I have got to the point of putting everything back
But can no longer reconnect these two hoses

Have tried to look for coolant hose joiners but haven’t been able in finding any small enough

Would I have any probs with using ½” copper pipe normally used for central heating systems?
As I have some spare and probably won’t corrode as badly as what was used before

And before I forget, where I can I get hold of some large metal p-clips?
So I can keep my new Speedo and breather hose off the exhaust manifold
And attach them to the rocker cover bolts, rather that trying with cable ties (which might look messy) out of the way of the exhaust and moving parts

Any suggestions would me much appreciated :o
Thanks

RallyDesign do good stuff, and they are usually cheaper than Demon tweeks.

I am guessing you have 1/2" pipes and not the later 5/8" if so copper pipe ok.

if you have 5/8" pipes you can get 16mm steel pipe tube from B+Q in a 1m length for a few quid and cut to length, you can maybe get 1/2" too but I havent looked.

the Mocal website www.thinkauto.com has hose joiners and so does www.vehicle-wiring-products.co.uk

Also maybe try the racks of yellow packs of little car screws and crimp connectors in your local car spaes shop, they have 12mm white plastic hose joiners amongst them over here.
