I have a classic mini and a rover metro gti 16 valve engine ready to put into it. I'm not sure on what subframe I need to put in? Or can i modify the existing one? If anyone can help or advise me be grateful, thanks

There are several conversions based on the Metro frame, see our conversions section. 16valve mini club's sight may also be of interest.

There are a few options depending on your skills. You can buy a pre built one (allspeed/watsons) these work out very expensive but easy job.
You can fit a metro subframe as suggested but will end up needing 13's and have a wide offset. or you can modify the original mini subframe to allow the k to fit. It works out cheaper than a pre built one, but a lot of time and effort goes into making it work out. You also can keep mini track.
All up to you, your time and your skills
