If you are just changing the backbox and not the full system then yes, its as simple as that!
Have a look on www.minispares.co.uk for RC40's

But isent a diameter of an RC40 larger than standard? So am I right in saying he has to get the Magic pipe (am i right in that name?) so he can run a larger diameter exhaust

Ive got a Straight through Exhaust for 998 mini for sale.
It was on my 998. Sounded Awsome!
Its a Backbox and a middle pipe. So it runs from the manifold to the tip.
No extra Boxes in the system, JUST a Hollow Backbox!

Moved to mini chat, once you know what you need then simply pop a post back in the wanted section.

Its not quite as simple as that. You will need an expansion pipe to fit the back box, however you then won't get the full benifit. If you can afford to, get the whole system, a freeflow manifold with RC40 exhaust.

Yeah I had a look for RC40's recently on mini spares - quite cheap
BUT... you need to but the extras e.g. the brackets and fittings etc.
