Islanders putting their views and opinions across.
Ha ha ha! Love the map with no Argentina!
It is up to the islanders and clearly they want to stay British.

The Boston Heralds stance:

I just kind of wish Obama would remember how we supported them after 9/11!

The oil thing is a myth. The Falklands have about 60 million barrels of oil in total. Saudi Arabia produces that in 5 days.
If they want to be British, then they should remain British.
Argentina's claims that we are militarising the islands by sending MP's out there is just ridiculous, to quote the MPs in question 'the idea that fat middle aged men from the house of commons can be characterised as militarisation flatters us beyond belief'.
And so what if we send a few navy ships or RAF pilots over to OUR OWN OVERSEAS TERRITORY? Frankly it's no different to sending our destroyer into Scottish waters.
This is heightened by the fact that repeated threats to invade British territory seem to be paramount at the moment

25th anniversary and our alert state went up, being sat on a mountain site out there finally got a little bit interesting. The Argentinians were getting twitchy again.
Got to speak to some of the vets (no not animal technicians) who had come back over to visit.
I don't doubt that there is oil there but you cannot hide the fact that the islanders wish to remain British.

It really is ridiculous when the islanders consider themselves British. The right to self determination should be respected

What the heck are you talking about?
Rockhopper alone have FOUND 'CONFIRMED' 600 million barrels and thats the mid case, it could be 1.5 Billion... the other licences that 'Falkland oil and gas' and 'Border and Southern' own, have seismic data that point towards 8 billion barrels plus...
You honestly think this share price of a 1p share is based on a myth?

I think Twrminisport is rather ill informed of the position regarding the oil in the Falkland basins

The joke is only 20 post back, i posted a summary of the actual Oil situation In the FI. And I did that because someone else posted some 'facts' about FI Oil that he got from a 10 year old program on the Discovery channel ! LOL

I've even posted a link the facts and information on what its worth to the UK, but hay why read anything when you can just make stuff up in your head and post it.

Where the hell did youo get that from?I'm sure they will remain British now because of any potential oil to be had, but they shouldn't be, the reason there are British people there now, is because the Argentition people were evicted.

Well we really didn't evicted anyone! In 1833 (yes that long ago) a British captain asked the handfull of administration staff left in a failed Argentina penal colony to leave. No threat just a request... and they did. And in fact the few colonists that were there were asked to stay.
Argentina then did not make ANY claim the to the place for 130 years... and that was just some looney in a small plane.
In the mid 70's the first hints came up of possible large deposits of oil might be found in its waters, and guess what Argentina invade a few years later... mmm
And geographics has nothing to do with sovereignty, it never has. Proximity means nothing otherwise Australia would own New Zealand!
