You could use a flamethrower rather than the lighter?
would that affect the paint work?
i was thinking about pouring a small amount of petrol over the top and lightin it :/ would that melt it?
i got to be at work in 10mins

Worked perfectly, locks never froze with that on.
Breathing on them sometimes works, it depends on the current temperature, if its low enough, your breath just freezes and doesn't help melt the ice in the lock. I think it was the same with WD40, once it got cold enough, the locks froze, even though they'd been sprayed with plenty of WD40.

I had to do this last night when leaving work at 10PM, by the time I got home about 15mins later the lock was frozen up again.
I dont smoke but im going to start carrying a lighter just to be on the safe side.

She will now carry a lighter in her pocket!
Don't use water warm or cold.

But... The inside of my windscreen was frozen as well, any better tips for that? Or is it just elbow grease with the scraper and the heater on screen
