i belive you just update the logbook, theres space for it.... new engine number, cc etc

also i think you need a rear numberplate light if you want an MOT on it lol

Yep thats right about numberplate ( thats why it has 2 chrome white led lights) lol .

Hi,

Short introduction: My name is Marten. I live across The Channel in Rotterdam (The Netherlands ). This topic interests me a lot! Can you tell me how your Minus is registered on the 'V5 document' / logbook? When was it first built (ohhh...1987 I see) and under what name is it listed... what kind of engine do the authorities think is in it? In other words... is it completely road legal under any scruteny?

Why am I asking all this... well I've been thinking about buying a Minus in the UK for a couple of years now (since there aren't any for sale in the Netherlands... ever) The idea is to import it into the Netherlands to put a dutch plate on it and thus make it road legal here. The problem with Dutch rules and regulations.... they are strict and difficult to find/understand! I have only about half and idea of what needs to be done for it... so might be a pipedream...

As far as I know it is only possible to get a UK 'kit car' correctly imported into the Netherlands and on the road legally, as long as the car is roadlegal in the UK to begin with... Your's having a bike engine in, usualy means it's not the original engine that goes with the car/documents...

That is bizarre, I dont know what made me do it, but i was just browsing and decided to do a search on my old minus, ive not been on the miniforum for years.

anyway... I built this! from scratch, and I sold it to the nice gentleman that is selling it today! sorry to hear your moving it on! I bet your son is gutted I remember clearly how exited he was when you came to buy it! Its a great piece of kit, and i love what youve done with the new fuel tank and bonnet stripes and bootlid. It looks perfect! I hope you have good luck selling it on!
