Well it's a A series top hose which will easily fit a 998, I fitted the exact same one to mine and my mate even debated about cutting some of his off so don't be daft

I never said you were, even if you did there are good ways of going about it..
I dont think Ryan would sell you a top hose that is the wrong size, seen as though there is only 1 size anyway..
It was late but that wasn't his fault, so I dont think saying 'oh its too small...' is helping yourself out, just chill man!
