Hi all,

I have a set of 6"x10" weller wheels which I will be putting on after I've done the brake conversion i would like to use Miglia arches but they only look good wide and filled with wheel .

I have a set of 4 32mm spacers with studs which will hopefully give it a nice look and I was just wonder if it is possibly to get the wide wheel look without destroying the bearings and would these spacers be ok on the front?

32mm is pretty thick for a spacer, the wheel studs might be a problem as i'm not sure what the longest studs are available. I've seen 2.25" studs but even with them, your spacer is going to take up a lot of that and by the time the wheels on I don't think you'll have lot of threads for the wheel nuts left.

I've run an inch spacer with extended studs before with no problems, but yeah 32mm is a big spacer. You can trim miglia arches to suit the width of your wheel anyway.

same as rayboogs i have run a 1" thick spacer with the original spacers drums with extended studs fine!

personally i do not think 6" wide wheels will pull the look off possibly look into getting them split rimmed?

As said. Best look with mig archs is to trim the arches to fit the wheels. Not get the wheels to fit the arches.

Those wheel spacers are not good! I personally would not use the screw on extended stud type, fit proper extended studs into your hubs (rear) and drive flanges (front).

Have you tried the wellers on with the spacers, I have 8.4" discs and my 10x6 wellers cleared the caliper with a 32mm spacer,

I have heard that the spacers are not good for the bearings but I did have them on my last mini for over a year with no problems, I'm not saying they are a good idea just I had no problems with them.

I fitted some of those with the extended screw on studs a few years back and was absolutely horrified, I always tighten my wheel nuts with my torque wrench to the correct torque and on the first wheel snapped three of the four extended studs. all of them broke on the shoulder where they taper and on inspection could see that when they were drilled and tapped they had gone right into the tapered section. needless to say I binned them after seeing that.
if you want to fit them, its fine but please double check how deep the threads are and be careful

no can do with steel wheels! but you certainly can look into getting them banded, the act of cutting the wheel down the middle and adding a fill in section to give a wider wheel
