Fiesta 06 Tdci, Problem With "chuffing" Noise When Idling And Underload. Anyone Know Anything About These?

Basically, done the service, investigated the oil leak, which i found to be a split turbo-inlet hose, so siliconed and taped it, (will get a new one tommorow) to eliminate that from the noise im trying to find, but the noise is still there, its rythmatic with the engine, tft's about 3times a second on idle. Ive had the air filter casing off so i could have a look at the injectors, incase the seals were leaking, but they didnt appear to be.
Took it out for a road test, turbo gives more of a "kick" when it kicks in, im guessing thats due to the leaking boost hose now being sealed. But the chuffing noise is still there, underload too, any ideas please?

Look for black carbon type crystals around the injectors. maybe a spray of leak detector would confirm.
Done the ones on my volvo, hardest bit was removing the injectors as they were carboned in. Dont damage the injector, they aint cheap! i used a wire wheel on bench grinder to clean to shaft (no where near the end of the injector) and a screw driver with some wire wool stuff in the hole. New copper washer and refitted, bingo :)

Just had a readup on the internet about changing the seals, sounds a bit fiddly and complicated to me, best grab some seals from ford (would people reccomend main dealer ones?)
Thanks guys

My mondeo split a turbo pipe, took a couple of good blasts to clear it out!
