Hi, I was soundproofing the engine side of the bulkhead yesterday, finished and then realised the car wouldn't start. the battery earth is fine as is the battery charge and all fuses and fuse box is fine. The ignition light will not go out without dis-connecting the battery and the components that don;t work are:

• Ignition
• side and headlights and full beam
• fog lights
• stereo

the parts that are working are:

• wiper motor
• washer jets
• heater
• indicators and hazard switch
• heated rear screen
• brake lights

I used a heat gun to put the soundproofing on and was very careful not to melt any of the cables, but is there anything I might have upset? i have checked cables around the bulkhead for splits and all connections to the fuse box are clean and have power going in and out of them.

Any help much appreciated, this is becoming a huge problem.
