im looking to replace my dirty tatty old headlining, but a new one looks pretty expensive, and sounds like it could be a bit tricky to fit. i was thinking of making my own one with some acoustic carpet, has anyone got any pictures of something like this in there mini so i can see what it looks like, or even some pictures of just a stripped out roof so i can see how it looks before i go tearing the thing out.

Sorry I can't help with the question.
But when I first saw the thread title, I thought that you meant take a standard black or white headlining and have a custom picture or something put in it. Which I think is actually a pretty cool idea.
