Basically probably nothing at all.
It's a C & U offence, so it would be a small fine and no points. You are far more likely to be caught doing 35 mph in a 30 limit!
All rally cars will be wired for spots on automatic or manual and I don't know of anyone who has had any problem at all, ever.
