I got lucky with my last MOT, failed on a few things including emissions, went away and got them fixed elsewhere (the tester was just an MOT centre, no repairs) and when I came back he had a quick look at the sheet and checked everything but the emissions and I passed, im sure after leaning the mixture right off outside the station I would have passed, but still a good outcome :)
