im going to be putting a fibreglass roof skin over my stee to cover quite a lot of dents on it, but where is the best place to get from?

theres a carbonfibre one in the forsale section at the moment if that kinda thing is what your after :)

And I'm sure we could get it look right, just I don't want to cut the roof for strength of shell

when you do cut out the majority of the steel roof before you bond the GRP roof, as water could get under there and rust away and cause all sorts of problems...:)

the stig hasnt been active sine early jan if i got the right one... and had a search cant find the guide....

well if you bond a glass fibre roof to a metal one, water will get under the glass fibre and rust the steel roof away.

if you cut most of the metal roof away then there is nothing to rust! just make sure you cover all of the cut surfaces with rust proof paint etc and bond well :P

there was no extra stiffening add to minis with full sunroofs

yeah people do this to minis all the time, its how carbon fibre roof skins are fitted:) good luck!
