Well Ive been lurking on the board for a while and finally decided to register and say hello.
Ive just gone and bought myself a mini, it’s a 1971 mini 1000, 2 owners from new and 53k on the clock. The down side is that it has the usual rust problems and at some stage the last owner decided it would be a good idea to paint the car by hand!!!
I intend to use it as an everyday car and restore it as much as possible (within a tight budget)
This is the 5th mini Ive had and have undertaken a number of restoration projects in the past – so at least I’m prepared for the hassle (and joy) involved. Although the last one was a couple of years ago now.
I live in Bristol and would be interested for any information about local clubs and meets.
