Very discrete. Well what work will you be carrying out yourself? What colour depends on price. Where you get it done depends on price.

This question cannot be answered by us but by your local paint and body shop.

I guess it will be anywhere between £400 and £2500. Highest being some show type paint job

LOL! I actually did that with the Race to Africa Volvo in the summer, we used Dulux emulsion, white over Nazy blue. Two coats and it was a pretty decent job! And half of that was at night, in the cold. I must say, for £40-50 it look relatively good!!

A full respray your looking at, as TJenkos says, £500-5000. Depending mainly on how much work you do and how good you expect it to be. If you do all the prep yourself you can knock a few hundred off a quote, if its just the outside then its going to be cheaper, if its bare metal its going to be more expensive. There are so many variables, its a lot like insurance, your best ringing companies and getting quotes.

I got quoted £3500 for a full bare metal respray.

I went to another place and they quoted me £500 to paint the car ( if it was given to them primed and ready) and to re-paint the union jack on the roof between £700-900!!!

The above prices were with very good paint shops. One of which does all the paint/restore work for Somerford mini in Wiltshire.

I resprayed mine myself, with lots of advice from a mate who'd done some spraying. Well pleased with the results especially as I'm a picky bugger.

It saved me a little bit of money but I did it mainly to prove to myself I could (something I'd always wanted to do)

If you do the prep work yourself to save money then make sure you are meticulous and do a thorough job - at the end of the day the top finishing coat will look rubbish if the prep is C**p. - I found that out quickly enough.
