What Do I Need For Engine Re Build?

As Turbo Phil says, if you are going to turbo-charge the engine, the calculations in respect of compression ratio and the choice of a suitable piston is critical.
To run at +12 psi you'll need dished pistons to get the CR low enough.
Make sure you fully understand every aspect of engine building and turbo engineering before spending too much cash.

i wont need dished pistons because im running an unskimmed head :)

If it's an old head surely you'll give it a skim to make sure it's flat with a good surface.
I'm sure you've done the calculations already, so what geometric CR are you going to be running at?

yeah its a head which is fully done and came from a supercharged 998 worked by vmax scart

with the head on i will have around 9:3:1 which im going to run N/A for awhile, i spoke to acdodd and he say i will only lose like 1% on power so i aint to worried about that

Isn't 9.3 a bit high for a forced induction engine? I'd be thinking more 8.5 for 12psi.

nah because i will be running 6 most of the time

Don't know how experienced so no offence if you have it.

DTI gauge
Feeler gauges
Flywheel puller
360 protractor

Piston rings if your just reconditioning pistons
Cam bearings machine shop will check
New set of head studs
Water pump may as well for the price
New clutch plate.

hylomar
RTV sealant
Assembly lube

Don't forget exhaust valve seals x4 don't come in head gasket set for some reason.

Hope that helps like people saying hang fire on bearings until its all apart cleaned and inspected
