They are seen by most as a bodge or something to cover old sills that have not been removed i'm afraid.

What are over sills?
They're the full width style sills without the vent holes in the bottom, often associated with corrosion problems as the absence of vent holes means that they trap moisture and condensation inside the sill. Also notorious for being welded over the top of existing rotten sills to get a car through an MOT. Basically they put people off because you never know what "nasties" are lurking underneath them.

All the work carried out to the highest standard and before the inner and outers were fitted were painted inside and out.
I just thought sills were sills.
