I was looking into a seven port turbo and was wondering if this seven port head was okay to use once being set up for a turbo?

Also with a seven port cylinder head, would you be able to have 2 weber 40 dcoe's?

with the webers it all depends on the cc size, i don't know much about turbo's but i wouldn't want to turbo a aluminium head because of the pressure and the heat but maybe wrong as i dont know much about that head but have heard that its the same as the 7 ports made over here

They're ok for the price & there's no reason it can't be turbocharged. If you can afford it the SC 7 port is superior. Forget the two Webers, the whole advantage of going seven port is the ease of fuel injection.

You are wrong. There is no issue turbocharging an alloy head. For example look under the bonnet of any modern turbocharged car, you won't find many steel heads.

There are two 7-port heads readily available, the Pierce head (cast in the US) and the Specialist components head, CNC machined in the UK. The Pierce head is widely available through many sellers, the SC head only through SC. The SC head is superior IMO (that's why I have one on my turbocharged engine).

You can fit Webbers on both heads, but as Phil says, what's the point. Fitting injection will be cheaper and better. also if you are turbocharging, trying to use webbers will be a lot of hard work.

I used a single TB, fed into a plenum, easy, simple, cheap.

An aluminium head will conduct heat out of the combustion chambers better, and that will help combat detonation, a bigger threat to high boost engines. Don't forget the pistons are aluminium.

I am presuming that the SC cylinder head is the better one of the two then

Instead of creating another topic, is it okay to use an A series block instead of an A+ ?

i did say i could be wrong as im no expert in that area, SC products are brilliant, did have a little issue with their ecu the other day but took it back to them and they explained what the problem was and solved the issue, but they are only a 20 min drive away :) , the service it just as great as their products. injection is the way to go and the throttle roar is not far from the webers throttle roar, i have gained just over 40BHP by just going from 45 webers to Injection with 48 throttle bodys on the MGC GTS and doubled the MPG up to 12 on a run

I'll try and remember. Ben should be there for the first outing in the Brown Streak too. I'll put a thread on TM.
