Figured I would post up some pictures, among many many other projects, finally got around to doing the wheels I have had in the back of my head. So they started out as 13x4 Midget wheels, cut the centers out, and then got a set of 13x7 Chrome reverse hoops. I wanted to do a staggered fitment by backspacing. My whole idea was to ditch the spacered drums and achieve flush fitment via 4" backspacing. Anyway, so the centers were bead blasted, and then tigged to the new hoops. Final plan is to paint the centers black, and then put a nice chrome cap to cover the lugs. Lastly I will be running 175/60 13 tires on it. I know some people won't like em, but I wanted to do a over sized on steroids 10" steel wheel look. Cheers guys and gals.

Thanks guys/gals. It's nice to work on my personal car after so long. I think I have worked on 8 customers Minis so far since then. I went with Nexen N2000's, not quite as aggressive as the Yoko A048r's that were on there, but they should be a nice summer tire. Will keep ya guys posted, I still am working on stripping the engine bay making way for the new motor I just finished. As well as a complete suspension upgrade.

Sweet, getting tires mounted at 7am tomorrow. Then getting centers painted saturday morning. Now all I got to do is drop that engine in, and do the full suspension. Shouldn't be to long from now, eh?

That looks totally awesome! Kudos for doing something different with your wheel choice! Beats the usual 10" Minilight brigade/silver with polished lip 13x7 superlights!

(and thats coming from a guy running 7x13" Superlites, albeit it they are fully polished)
