Arc Welder?

Yea sounds good, best qoute i got for a half decent mig with gas, 150 or 160a i think was 410 euro, does that sound reasonable, I can get the gas less ones alot cheaper but ive beeen told unless your experienced at welding to stay well clear. Any opinions folks?

thb, that sound very expencive as there are sealey ones with 150 gas for £255 dunno what the exchange rate is but sound quite expencive http://www.ebay.co.u...746802056&ps=54

also i dont see much wrong with a gassless one aslong as it is high amps you should be fine

Gasless welders are absolutely dreadful on thin metal, and best avoided. This topic has been done to death here many times. But a welder which allows you to use gas or gasless is fine, only save the gasless option for something thiscker and cruder than a Mini shell.

Filthy, ugly welds, dangerous fumes, lots more finishing work....

95% argon is the way, especially for the inexperienced.

Thanks for all the replies, just bought a second hand clark 135 TE turbo for £195 , i shall get practicing!
