i dunno, if you search 1275 engine on ebay and then goto advanced, completed listings

theres a 1275 sold using buy it now for £895 and its not even been rebuilt. just a lick of paint and water pump, oil filter etc.

so compared to that 1k for a 1275 rebuilt is good. i think theres £250 to pay if u dont have an exchange engine.

Me personally for a unknown but running 1275 i wouldnt pay much more than that.

Ive got a rebuilt 1275 im selling in next few weeks as im going 16v route, i hope due to the rebuild with photos and reciepts I can get a decent offer for it.

Hi there guys, I am half of Brigham Engines. Please feel free to give me a shout if you have en enquiries. None of the engines we supply have surcharges on them. We will take your old unit to make the price a bit cheaper for yourselves.

I add this for reference.

I bought a Brigham engine a few years ago. A very mildly tweaked 998 for the road.

This was after buying an ebay promise which turned out to be a pile of scrap. We decided to go for a builder who appeared reputable.

Brigham proved very pleasant to deal with and produced an engine only slightly over the promised time.

I went to collect and met a young chap obviously starting out in his new career path and was impressed with him, if not the shed he worked from.

Although the engine produced the power figures claimed when on the rolling road, it smoked like a chimney and would lose about 1/2 pint of oil a week.

We eventually had to rebuild it and found the bores had not been honed. In fact they were as rough as a badger's arse.

Sadly, therefore, unless habits have changed I can't recommend as a quality rebuilder.
