Ahh I guess he likes the idea of keeping it standard?

Yeah he wants it standard plus it's too much work he says lol :P bless him ha! I would fit 10x6's but they don't do alleycats in 10x6 :( I might get other alloys if the 10x6's fit without cutting and on original arches

Do you have to drill new holes for group 7 arches? Or do they go through the old ones?

Drill new ones as far as I know, but there are these on Huddersfield mini spares that go in existing holes if you wanted to go for smaller wheels?

http://www.minispare...d=55&prod_id=49

Ok thanks, I still want the 7x13's :) I'm guessing the group 2's wouldn't cover them enough :(

& no cutting up the back arche with angle grinder too is there? :)

The back is fine, you can fit 13x7's on the back with standard arches haha

Those group 2's even let my mates 12x6's poke out a good 4cm

That's good. Didn't want to say to my dad he'd have to help cut back too :/ I don't think he's too pleased about it all lol :P

You'll need to change the front discs to 7.5" cooper s set up or a fiesta set up for 10x6's though >_<

Ahh that's even more work than the 13's lol.
I'll just have to persuade my dad to help me. My car at end of day xD

& mk3 Cooper S. How will 13's make it handle less better?

13's aren't as responsive as 10's, 13's have a poor turning circle in comparision to 10's and 13's are quite stiff to handle at times + take a while to warm the tyres up... wow you wouldn't know I ran 13's... haha

That's all the disadvantages I hope lol :P
Compared to the 6x12's there's not much different to 7x13's then :)

What about 6x12 star mags? Not as much cutting there? And can use group 2 arches?
EDIT : Scrap the above, just photoshopped some Star mags on and it looks pants compared to they Alleycats.

Haha I did wonder why you wasn't choosing 12x6's

Those group 2's look good with 12x6's as well and they fit in the existing holes! :D

I honestly didnt see they did 12x6's. I just googled Alleycats and they were the only size that came up from Huddersfield.
Group 2 arches are the one's with the chrome trim right?
Can both the rally ones and Racing ones be fitted straight into existing holes?

Yeah the rally ones can, my dad had a set on his Mini he just said, the race ones have different hole line up by what i can see on pictures. Just to clear it up then, you need group 2 rally arches, and you cant fit 12x6's onto standard arches?

I ran 12x6s under standard arches for a while, they just poke out a bit :P

But I was under the impression that the rally ones were the same width as the standard ones?

Thats what i was thinking, the arches dont look that much difference, i had a set of wheels on it before but had to take them back as offset was wrong, and they were 12x6's. But i thought poking out makes it look rarther nice :P Not like they poke out by 5cm, less than that...
