After buying this '77 1000 as a solid car that needed a very light restoration last November, my Mini was finished just in time for my 17th birthday on Saturday. Driven about 40 miles in it so far, loved every minute! Now I know what everyone means by go-kart handling, it's brilliant

Went out yesterday morning and took some pics:

Also got some pics of the inside and engine bay (main focus of all the work, I love seeing tidy engine bays on Minis)

Really pleased with it - just need to get it through the MOT tomorrow >_<

Like everything about this car. Its all in perfect proportion, mint. Nice little trim on the front panel too. You be careful with it now won't you :-)

Don't worry I will, now I've got it to this condition I'm determined to keep it like this! I'm so lucky to be able to have something like this as my first car so I certainly won't be driving about like the stereotypical 17-year-old!

Wow! Beautiful car!
I particularly like how it's been restored in a way that it looks like it's just rolled off the production line. No silly unnecessary bits. Clean and pretty much original.
