I quite like Vibe subs. Always been impressed. Tend to steer clear of Audiobahn, Sony, Kicker, and similar brands.

Some people dont like Vibe though, so it really is personal preference. Audiobahn is very much about looks for example.

In My Merc I am running 2* Vibe 12" Subs Off the Mono Box 2800 Watt Amp. In the Mini however this would not be practical as the Amp alone would take up the boot.

I am considering a single 10" in an enclosed box. Probably around 350Watt. Just want something with a bit more depth and not taking up the whole boot.

I would be interested also to know what setups people are running.

It's not "cheap" in Sony or Pyle stakes...but then you pay for quality :D I did indeed put up a vid of my SX18 at some point...but to be honest, it was a bit of a C**p recording

www.caraudiodirect.co.uk stock RE...the new range is out very soon, and from what I've read it's going to be madness

Just to whet your appetites :goaway:

A bit of personal preferance and a Biased oppinion here. But im a big fan of Free air subs now that ive had 2 running in each of my minis.

I started off with a sub in a sealed enclosure in the boot. But this caused a bit of a pressure problem inside the boot, and caused my boot lid and floor to resonate making horrible rattle noises from the outside of the car.

Now im running an infinate baffle sub (free air) which is mounted in the center of my parcel shelf (meant cutting a 10" hole in my shelf)

Its mounted on a 1/4" Sheet of Plywood (baffleboard).

It uses the boot / car space as an enclosure. Drops to about 30hz, can peak right up and reach the jazzy notes too.
Im running it on a varaible crossover, so I can select the Low pass filter level at any time.

It also causes ZERO rattles in my boot, and sounds bassy too.

Looks good

takes up NO room at all,

Im running it off a JL900 2ch Amp which is bridged to give a 400rms output (The sub is also a 400watt sub), so they are a perfect match.

yea, Ill come back online tomorrow and correct my post as im a bit wasted att he moment. Just got in from a bit of clubbing on a thursday night! haha.
Went out with the Kwikfit lads.

Anyway yea. ill get some pictures for you too.

No matter how annoying you come across on here, I'd still like to stop as many people as possible from using BassJunkies.

I've not had the mis-fortune of using them myself (though I did get bullsh**ted into buying some awful kit by Car Audio Centre) but I've heard nothing but bad reviews: pushy sales staff trying to shift the kit that they get the biggest mark up on, awful installation work etc

www.caraudiodirect.co.uk are, in my opinion, the best car audio retailer on the net :D

iv never had any troubles with the stuff from bassjunkies, but yes they can be pushy and try to get you to more than you need, however that doesnt work on me.

also i know what i want when i go so they cant tell me some rubbish to sell kit they want to sell.
