absolutely anything by Clifford Alarms, also make sure what you buy is Thatcham rated, you`re insurance company might like it, and lower your insurance.

ive got a clifford concept 300 alarm/immobiliser in mine, very very good system, recommend it

I think you have to have it fitted by an alarms company to get it recognised by the insurance company.
If your skint you could just do basic stuff like hide a switch on the ignition live somewhere or put a battery cut out in etc...

I'll have to get one of the one's that my hubby has on his Dodge Charger.
It says 'please step away from the vehicle' in a really cheesy armerican accent.. :cheese:

Seriously guys - thanks for the suggestions

If its a thatchcam alarm it has to be fitted by an approved installer. I'm not a great fan of off the shelf security as the car theives usually fit these for a living or have in the past or they know someone who does. Iam a big fan of homemade systems after all if its not production and its not factory fit there's only one person who knows how it works! I had a production alarm and immobilser on mine and when it was nicked it turned up just around the corner, they never got it started although when i disabled the extra homemade immoblizer it started first touch. Further inspection revealed that they'd ripped out the alarm and crossed a few wires over to try and get round it!

being skint and not being able to afford an alarm/immobiliser, i take the king lead off the coil/dizzy cap if i go anywhere where i'm leaving it for a while - not many thieves carry HT leads around with them..........
