Like I say, i'm sure i've read before that they need to be close together; but what about mounting them separately? What happens then, and why not do that?


it will sound a mess.

With high notes in front of you and then the mids/lows behind... someone singing a scale would move back to front etc.

Ahh I see what you mean, didn't really think about vocals to be honest was just thinking beats and bass.

So whats the maximum sort of distance they should be apart? Or does it not really matter as long as they're for example, some where on the parcel shelf.

As Ruckus will tell you, it's all about stageing your music so it needs to be up front, just like a concert, look in the build threads and see where mine, brams, ruckus and freshair mini have located our speakers.

Yeah really up front, but if not just in sure the tweeters and mids area as close as possible.

Always have the tweeter as far to the sides of the car as possible, and dont get the left and right mixed up! ;D
