I'm pretty chuffed that at the end of my first year mine has gone from 1900 to 1250 fully comp legal cover, national RAC cover etc. 998 with rover cooper alloys declared :-)

I wish I was paying as little as you lot :-(

650cc at 16? Well that seems very legal

Back in the late 1960's/early 70's, you could ride up to 250cc as a learner at 16 and any size bike when you passed your test. You could also ride any bike above 250cc as a learner if it had a sidecar or you could also drive three wheeler cars.....happy days...wis I'd kept my Isettas

Ah i see, i thought you were about 20 and were claiming that quote from a few years back! haha

Well for me they didn't refuse to reinsure me with Equity Red Star but they just tried to price me out in stead! I was paying £1916 for my first year then the renewal quote was £2420!! As I said i have since gone elsewhere far cheaper!

Yeah it has, they're not insuring under 21's full stop on a classic policy, their new underwriters won't allow it >_<

If you're already with them they'll offer you a renewal but they're taking on no new policies under 21 :proud:
