you have to first torque up the head then run the car upto temp then slacked (in the correct sequence) and retorque the nuts agen and its adviseable to do this after the car has been used for a while so around 100 miles think people have their own preferance bout this tho at what sort of milage to do it at.
also did you definatly torque the head nuts in the correct sequence??

Have you got the correct rad cap?

Different pressure rated rad caps will allow the water to boil at different temps.
