As soon as i start driving mine properly i will be learning how to double de-clutch as it is better for the gearbox and when your gearbox is a 50 year old design then any help to keep it going the better ! :)

also you sound like a racing driver coming up to a roundabout and down shifting while blipping the revs in between gears :P

I try it every now and again with varied results, having size 13 feet can be awkward in the confined space of the mini footwell >_<

you dip the clutch twice. so you press it down take it out of gear then let it off then press it down again and put it into gear.

some people getting it a little mixed up with Heel & toeing above.

When going up into the gear box you go from 1st to neutral, let the clutch out, clutch in up to 2nd, for instance,

and when coming back down its the same but blipping the revs in neutral to speed the gearbox up slightly then clutch in, into desired gear.

I believe thats all of it.

EDIT: and well heel and toe'ing is part of it when coming back down the gearbox as speeding the gearbox back up when changing down gears helps the syncros dosnt it?

Say 3rd gear high rev put your clutch down put it in nuteral rev match so tap your acceleration few time then put clutch down into 4th, so clutch down tap acc then clutch down then back on acc :)

idealy if your a racing driver haha. you don't need the clutch. that is the best on the gear box. if you get everything right so the engine revs match the gear speed then no clutch isnt needed. i cant find the video but i remember seeing an old rally video. and he didnt use the clutch once after setting off
