I try it every now and again with varied results, having size 13 feet can be awkward in the confined space of the mini footwell >_<

Size 16... you dont so much press the pedal as you hit it angled/ side on.

Say 3rd gear high rev put your clutch down put it in nuteral rev match so tap your acceleration few time then put clutch down into 4th, so clutch down tap acc then clutch down then back on acc :)

dont blip up gears.

just down gears

so low revs in 3rd. say 45mph
dip the clutch
blip the throttle then down into second. its stops you 'buzzing' the engine.

My mate has learnt how to upshift without the clutch, done it a couple of times with me in the passenger seat, its a bit of a pain though as you have to let the revs drop slightly then engage the next gear so i think its quicker with a clutch

Nope to rev match when going up you have to let the g/box slow down, opposite when coming down the gears

there's no need, if your in 3rd at say 65mph at 6000rpm as you change to fourth the revs will drop to say 4000rpm. so blipping the trottle is totally unessential.

When I had my first mini I learnt to change without the clutch at all and when you get used to it (and revs spot on) it works beautifully! But unless you ram it through gears quickly I dont think it is any quicker than using the clutch. Double clutching is obviously slower, much better for your box but puts an extra 1/2 a second or so on every change, which can't be good for racing, even though its better for the box!

i think the beauty of no clutch shifting and the reason its used for rallying is your left foot is free to do the braking.

idealy if your a racing driver haha. you don't need the clutch. that is the best on the gear box. if you get everything right so the engine revs match the gear speed then no clutch isnt needed. i cant find the video but i remember seeing an old rally video. and he didnt use the clutch once after setting off

You need a straight cut dog box for that. Pricey and noisy stuff, but damn fast at changing gears though!

I always try double de clutching but I never get do you have to match the revs whilst sliding it in to gear and then letting the revs drop or keeping the revs to carry on driving. if you get me haha.
