My neighbor let me take apart his set of hs2s from a 69 spitfire. Those springs were about a 1/3 longer then mine. there were no colors on them

I got the red springs. Im thinking that they may have been blues because yellow (fuel) and blue make green. They kinda look aqua color in these pics above

The new springs are the same length but they actualy have more tension which leads me to think the old springs were blues.

Anyways. I found a new use for old springs.

Car runs great now. The new throttle cable binds a little bit but I'll get that figured out.

I NEED NEW DISC BRAKES. any suggestions?

I'm wondering what sort of fuel are you using to turn a bright blue into a dull turquoise, be carefull as cast iron engines may not like fuel with high ethanol content..

Disc brakes for what setup?
Go for top quality solid discs, cheap chinese discs are more likely to warp because are made of inferior grade steel.

I said about the fuel turning the green to bluish because I would think that the green spring would have more spring pressure. it's less than the red ones.

anyways. it runs good now but it doesn't stop for shti.

I need a complete disc setup.

I was looking at the ones on MiniMania. This set is $1,300.00 US but I don't feel safe driving on this drum setup.

that price is maddness..now i have no clue on the delivery cost, but cant you buy stuff from the uk, like driveshafts, cv's and hubs/bearings, then a 7.5" disc setup and balljoint kit?

Why not pick up some second hand hubs, driveshafts and calipers and give them a refurb with new pistons, seals, ball joints, bearings etc. Would be a much cheaper option.

true. but mini's here are about as popular as Ford Farmonts are over there.

I just orderd a complete rebuild kit for the rear.

I'll just save up for for the disc package from Seven. They even assemble it for free. I guess I like new stuff when I can
