ive had these http://www.minispare...77&prod_id=2735 for 2 months now and always thought the rim/dish was a bit well "not as shiney or chromey as others ive seen and the picture on the website. my mate turned up who i havnt seen in 3 months with his mini who also has these 6x12 supalights but in black however this was when it properly hit me that his are much shinier than mine and he insists they came like it. why arent mine as chromey i.e is there smomething i can do to the dish/rim to make them more shiny?? thanks

what colour are your wheels?, you say that your mates wheels were black which will make the rims look more shiny than a lighter coloured wheel.

In all honesty the place you chose to buy them has quite a reputation for poor quality chrome.

Ouch theyre white but my mates are definetley shinier

yeah, i've heard that too, just dont use them in the winter/salty roads because they wont last 5 minutes........i suppose thats why they're so cheap though £349 for 4 wheels any tyres!!, a set of 4 yoko's are £240 on their own....you get what you pay for!

I thought huddersfield were quite good for wheels. They sell most the genuine makes. Its midland wheels that sell the crap stuff.

Mine have sort of a ridged effect on the dish, whereas the midland wheels ones don't. Whether they are shinier or not, the midland wheels ones won't be shiney for long.

I had a set of huddersfield 12x6 revos on my clubby put on by the previous owner. He put them on just over a year before I bought the car and I had them on their just over a year myself. Used everyday and they still looked good when I sold them. The person I sold them to is a user on here. I'm sure he can vouch for how good they were and probably still are. I know that doest help the OP though lol. Either way if I was out to buy a new set of wheels I would go to huddersfield.

Modern new alloys are shocking in quality! My uncles Hyundai Getz had 3 sets of alloys under the 5 year warranty as they just bubbled up and disintegrated!
My Dads a4 is getting on for 4 years old, and has corrosion blisters and paint lifting on them!
Then when you compare this to my 22yr old Gb's, which are perfect, my 42yr old d1's, again which have no corrosion.
