Finally thanu some advice :LModern new alloys are shocking in quality! My uncles Hyundai Getz had 3 sets of alloys under the 5 year warranty as they just bubbled up and disintegrated!
My Dads a4 is getting on for 4 years old, and has corrosion blisters and paint lifting on them!![]()
Then when you compare this to my 22yr old Gb's, which are perfect, my 42yr old d1's, again which have no corrosion.
To the 'Op", get a kit like this :
http://www.ebay.co.u...c#ht_865wt_1159
Works wonders on my D1's!

ive got the exact same set you have two weeks ago, if your of to L2B im sure you'll spot mine there so feel free to have a look.
protection wise i would defiantly recommend Collinite. Not allot of people have heard of it, nor did i till someone told me. they won the auto express wheel care product this year.
this thing is awesome, last night for instance the car was soaked but the wheels were bone dry. i would go for something like that to protect them as long as possible. there’s no point going and damaging perfectly good lacquer for the mean time.
when it does eventually go, then buy that ebay kit and keep on top of the polishing.
anyway that’s my 2 pence worth
