i wouldnt be able to fit the brakes tho

Why not??

i cant do anything :L wouldnt know where to start

Well to be fair it's a fairly straight forward task that really only needs basic tools, (a single person brake bleeding kit & a breaker bar would also make the task much easier). A Haynes manual will explain how to remove and replace the calipers, discs, pads and drive flanges and all you are really doing is replacing these with slightly smaller versions.

This guide with photo's from the FAQ section explains how to remove/replace the discs and pads on a classic mini and should therefore give you some idea of what's involved. http://www.theminifo...discs-and-pads/ . At the end of the day it's going to get pretty expensive to own a classic mini, if you aren't prepared to learn how to do this sort of work yourself. :(

Another option is the Fiesta conversion, can be done for around £100. All you need is a pair of MK1 or MK2 Fiesta calipers, 2 Metro Turbo drive flanges and a set of custom hoses. There is some very simple machining to do on the hub, but anyone with a pillar drill and a file can do it. The thread needs to be drilled out of the hub as the Fiesta bolts screw into the caliper. I did this conversion and they are great brakes! And all but a few 10's fit.

Don't even need the pillar drill to be honest :). Fiesta calipers are the way to go, especially when you already have most of the parts on your car.

I've got 10" wheels and 8.4" brakes, 10x6 wellers with a 3mm spacer on the front. sticks out a bit though:

They're what Craig was talking about, they fit beside, not over the breaks by having a ridiculous offset.

They would basically have a big spacer to offset the wheel centre, those wheels do not fit over 8.4" brakes, they fit to the side. This moves it away from the geometry that the mini was initially set up for and can make it handle slightly odd. It's one more thing to bear in mind. It's not going to be dangerous, just not most ideal! But what can i say, i have dirty 13x7s :P
