Fixed my starting problems yesterday by fitting and electronic ignition kit, carbs been tweaked so it's running the best it's ever been for me. Can't wait for it, the only problem is I have to work saturday now, so I need to try and get an earlier and possibly shorter shift so that I can still get down to CP at a decent enough time to get a camping spot.

Can't wait, although my throttle cable is playing up so got to fix that before Saturday!

All fixed, turned out a cable was catching on the stepper motor lol

I am rather excited, today passed my test so will be able to get to brighton providing the car dosnt break down again

Congrats mate, maybe I'll see you again there. I've only today managed to swap my Sunday shift at work so I'll be at Brighton in the OH's Mini, not sure if we're doing the run though.

Excited No!!..... Worried yes!!.....

Two days to go and I still have no engine!! (Well to be fair I do actually have an engine in now, but it's not running yet!!).... If I do manage to get it back on the road in time, it's going to be a case of "cutting it very fine!!"

I was doing the same trick last year. Suffice to say I didnt make it in time. I hope you have better luck than me
