You'll be probably able to pull it and, as along as your brakes are up to scratch, you'll be able to stop, but the weak link, in my experience, is the gearbox. I used to tow a boat with mine, engine & brakes were fine but did in 2 'boxes in a couple of years. 1st, one of the transfer gears chewed it's way the the side of the transfer housing(did take a couple of weeks to finally die) and the 2nd time it stripped half the teeth off 2nd gear in about 5 miles, be careful

Oh and are there any anoraks out there that could identify the hub caps... they look like early Mini items to me

Yes mate, they are Mk1 & 2 Mini hubcaps and less of the anorak if you don't mind ;D

Nice caravan too by the way  Have you seen this? http://www.thomson-c...967miniglen.htm

I was actually just looking on ebay at caravans and trailer tents thinking it would be ideal for the north devon grand tour run. If you turn up at london to brighton mini run camping i think your be the most luxury haha !!

Some pics from inside

Cooker and sink... the black thing on the floor is the water pump, you twist it and it comes out of the floor, then you pump it with your foot

Cheers for the heads up. My brakes are good, and all my subframe mounts are in fine fettle. To be honest I think my main concerns with the Mini at the moment are the cooling system and the mirrors!

Ah I thought they might be. They're in really good condition. If they're rare then I think they'll have to come off. Yeah i've read through that site :) Looking through the pictures it shows that this van has had some modifications in it's life (lack of toilet etc)

I would love to take it on the L2B, especially if it rains!! I'll be roughing it in a tent this year... I'm not sure I've ever seen a caravan at CP before?
