The wife dragged me shopping today, and I wanted some strongbow.

So, 2x12 cans for 17 quid "on offer"

Or,

24 cans for 14 quid.

But guess what, they didn't have any 24 can boxes!

So I went for 20 cans for 13 quid, which is 65p a can, compared to their "offer" which works out at 70p a can!

How do they get away with it?

Not stupidity at all in their part. You'll be surprised at the amount of people that are drawn in by the yellow ticket offers!

It's all about profit at the end of the day

Simple, buyer beware as they say.

Me for example work it out to the last penny, but then I work for them and know the scams.

people seem to be so laxed about this kinda thing... maybe im just a pikey compaired to some but i usualy pull the phone out, calculator it up and work out what it costs per litre/can.
they usualy have these kinda deals on at this time. start of festival season, usualy end up taking 3 crates each to download. had about 20 or more crates in the volvo one year and more in others.

I work for Tesco, deals like this are normally good for people who would want two separate cases...

But always read prices when buying Garlic Bread, it's all false economy there...

Today, Value twin pack id 70p and the singles are 32p
