people seem to be so laxed about this kinda thing... maybe im just a pikey compaired to some but i usualy pull the phone out, calculator it up and work out what it costs per litre/can.
they usualy have these kinda deals on at this time. start of festival season, usualy end up taking 3 crates each to download. had about 20 or more crates in the volvo one year and more in others.

no need to use a calculator mate, it tells you on the label how much it is per litre in the case of the cider, makes it so much quicker than using your head

they also don't always give the comparissons in the same volumes / weights, so you still have to work it out

In this example, they only give you the pre discounted price per litre

I'll ring her now

Ring her at mine, she's sat next to me!

I've noticed HUNDREDS of Tesco offers like this. There are some that just annoy me, but some that are ridiculous. Some of them are crazy. Like Radox showergel. It's nearly always cheaper to buy 2x500ml bottles than it is to buy 1x1000ml bottle. There are loads of reasons why this annoys me. The environment being one of them. They should really promote that less packaging is better. The 500ml bottles will use a lot more packaging than the 1000ml bottles. Surely this should also make them more expensive....

Anyway, it's rubbish. You really have to carefully read their "offers" as they just don't work out at all! :ermm:

Also be careful looking at the price per litre... for example, Bramley Apples, pack of 5, and the price per is listed as price per pack! well we know that already don't we

I've noticed this sort of thing often when the normally larger pack on 'offer' costs more than buying 2 smaller bottles/boxes/packs etc... What amazes me is how many people fall for this trick, because thats what it is.

Think the strangest offer sign I have seen was in Morrisons that was advertising a product (can't remember what - veg I think) on offer and the previous price of 50p was crossed out with Special Offer now £1

Also bottles of energy drink £1.05 each or 2 for £1.00 I once saw in the Co-op

Tesco aren't the only people doing this trick.

In Morrisons last week it was 4 pack of 330 ml bottles of Sol or Corona for £4 or a 12 pack for £13 reduced from £14.99

Also a 12 pack of 275 ml bottles of Carling, Carlsberg, Kroneberg, Becks, etc was £12.

My house mate Dom and I got the last 3 packs of Sol on the shelves.

Our friends stupidly went and bought Carling not noticing the offer on Sol or Corona. Idiots. Better still they all do accounting and business based subjects. I put my BEng degree to good use there. Engineers 1, Accounting and business students 0.

Just been shopping, spotted a good one...

small pack of newborn baby nappies 11.6p each nappy, bigger pack 10.2p each, and the monster size value box 16.6p each!!!! makes sense not buying in bulk
