So when im in traffic 1st and reverse gerar can be quite noisy, the noise isnt a rattle, more of a drone :( any idea?

Is the oil level OK? Remember it's a different method to check an automatic. (see here: http://www.mra-minis...i-automatic.htm) Also make sure that your oil changes are up to date and that the correct grade has been used.

Is this when your selecting gears. Sitting with it in gear or driving in these gears ?

No its when you're slowly moving..

See if it does it in 2nd ? Mine made funny noises like yours it turned out the exhaust & bracket would vibrate terribly under engine load at low speeds
