Don't get rid of it!
I almost sold my Clubman recently as I'd sort of got bored with it and couldn't motivate myself to do the next round of work it needed. So I just ignored it for a month, then went back to it and realised what a fantastic little car it is so it's now a keeper :proud:

Best I can do, I'm afraid.
I didn't do the work, the lovely chaps at W&P did. There is no original lip underneath, I know that much. Mebbe, they cut the lip off, snipped in slices, bent it & welded it as you suggested? It won't need much taking off. (My wheels are 12x5 & they still rubbed an arch off beforehand).

very nice! the only bit im a bit miffed with is if they did move lip entirely surely the bottom bit on the a panel would line up with the arche hmm ill ring them up tomorrow now grrrr

dont know whether i should change my wheels or not though for some exactons or banded steel

ditch the arches, get it on 10s, make it less cluttered in the inside and put the window down in the sun and go for nice drives :)

it is on 10's lol
the arches have only just gone on, although i was thinking about put some steels on instead or something a little bit more standard wheel wise
the inside i have only just finished and i get a lot of complements on it, its a nice place to be LOL

woops is it :P i thought i saw a piccy of it on 13's ignore that comment then. its not that the interior isnt a nice place to be but personally i find taking the mini back to its basic form interior you appreciate it for what it is and not make it all glowy and banging speakers and head unit and make it something its not.

appreciate the lil things :) (if that made any sense haha)

LOL yes definitely, ive taken it back twice and loved it but as its my only car, i made it re-find and quieter on the inside, i need to get a good sound system still :P im not a big fan of flashy stuff at all i like sleak tastful stuff (i think LOL)
i love him to bits but there is certain things that i dont know what to with, for example the exhaust, wheels, the carb, the paint plus a lot of other things hmmm
my arches have annoyed me as well because since i have put them on i have got even less space that when i hitting the wing as they curve in a little bit at the bottom, so im stuck in what to do, do i take them off, do i cut the wings i have no idea!

Nooooooo!
You've put way too much work into it to sell it!
Personally I like the way it looks and you had plans for it at L2B!

Just work on it and remember the good feeling it brings to you! :D

Rob (I bought your exhaust) :highfive:

Noooooo don't sell it, looks sooo beautiful.

You would regret selling that after all the work you have done to it and how much time you have spent on it.

Just enjoy the little things and like someone said you have plans for it so just go with them, will bring you a good feeling in the end im sure :D

i just need helping with knowing about the arches/wheels and just the damage to the wings and bonnet have put me on a downer as they have only just been done :'(

Definitely don't get rid of mate, you'll definitely regret it if you do!

We need to go out for a drive sometime, have a bit of fun on the country lanes! Me and Steely on here went out for a drive today and took some pictures of the cars, it would be awesome if you could come along for a drive with us sometime and we can have your awesome clubbie in the pictures too :-) If you ever need any help with basic(ish) welding stuff like reforming the arches then I'm always happy to lend a hand and let you borrow my welder

Sven.

dude i would love to, i dont know any one around me to even meet up with a mini on the road :/
dude that sounds killer!
ill see where im at tonight, if i have found anymore information out in what needs to be done with the arches/wheels

Nice to meet you too!
I'm sure it'll go on fine, I've gotten all of the other stuff anyway so it should all go on fine and hopefully it'll actually make a difference... :teehee:
ah right, fair enough, what are you planning with it? :turtle:
Haha nothing wrong with painting your engine and keeping it looking awesome (unlike mine)
