I think, so long as its at your home you can do what you like, its just not allowed in industry because its hazardous to your health.
Some other examples of things that still and will always use lead are ammunitions and diving weights

I was considering lead loading where the wings meet the scuttle, it's already seam welded but I want a smooth look.
Is this kit going to be utter rubbish or dangerous?
How hard is lead loading?
I've watched videos on YouTube etc,

The kit on ebay is fine, i have used lead loading many many times over the years and there is a art to it but its not to hard.
All this talk about lead being illegal it rubbish, its illegal to use on plumbing but not on body repairs.
