Ive heard solid mounts can crack the floor anyway??


Fit 2mm spreader plates on the inside, at the heelboard where the two bolts come out to the subframe mounting, and, unless you have a rusty floor, nothing will crack away.
Early minis were solid mounted by the way.

And yes, rubber or poly mounts will fail anytime.

How come they changed to rubber mounts??

So solid mounts are forever?? :) sorry to be a pain
And I will have to solid the front and back together?? Sorry :)

For the same reason they put more bitumen as a sound deadening on the floor.
To give a better ride comfort wise (comfort? in a mini?).

Id buy a different car if I wanted comfort :)
