I'm curious, you have to pay all the insurance and tax at once? Can't do a monthly thing?

Insurance can usually be paid monthly but costs more to do so, tax is either 6 monthly or yearly.

Ah.. okay that makes sense. You guys buy insurance from insurance companies.
Over here it's state run so there's no interest if you do monthly.

They are in charge of insurance, driver licensing and vehicle registration.

It's convenient to not have to shop around for insurance quotes, or have to deal with multiple insurance companies when making a claim.

I think the government need to be more involved in insurance; the prices are ridiculous for young drivers, they also need to do something about fake whiplash claims :angry:
