Good topic. I have a simular concern. In August Im planning on doing a charty drive that is 850-950 miles over 2 days and was wondering if its to much for the car. I'll be working on the car from now
unfil then as Ive only had it a few weeks.
I'd be more worried about you than the car

just came back from a trip to rome via switzerland..did it all in one week saw every thing ,pisa ,lake garde ,rome, zurich, the rhien
in all we done 4000miles in a week.. drove rome to home in one day 21 hours straight ..the only brake down was a miss fire took the dizzy of cleaned the contacts and problem solved..
you can do it ...all you have to do i BELIEVE ...BELIEVE
You did well...........I have driven from London to the Millau Bridge in the South of France in 1 day a couple of times, around 600 miles then on into Spain the next day.......and that was in a Mercedes C-Class but I would not try it in a Mini so I must be getting too old!!

Yes no problem if the car is well maintained just back from L2B (720 miles) in 4 days. Word of advice, if possible try to avoid the motorways. Not always possible I know but whilst they cope with it Mini's just seem to 'sulk' on the motorway. Give them a fast A' road any time !!. I take my time to plan the most mini friendly route. A44 from Oxford to Worcester was a blast.
If your on the west coast use A6 from juction 35 of M6 all the way up to Carlisle (It'll put a smile on your face)
Might try this route on the way back, rather than just go down the M6
