Note that the Carbon Metallic pads often have a warning on the side of the box stating "do not use on the public highway".....

I can tell you from years of experience that those are THE pads for all fast driving. Unlike the old Ferodo DS11 race/rally pads, they work excellently from cold and the friction range is simply amazing. I've used them on the road-on road-rallies and on stage rallies and have never regretted it. They are expensive because they are the very best and you get what you pay for. I've tried Mntex 1144 and 1166, but neither come up the the Carbon-Metallic standards.
Very highly recommended. What more can be said.

The trick to making a Mini go fast is to NOT use the brakes - just 'carry the speed' through the corners......brakes just slow you down.........
